The School of Art+Design at Purchase College, SUNY seeks candidates for a full-time staff position as Business Manager and Student Advisor,beginning in August of 2012. Responsibilities will include day-to-day management of the main administrative office, including supervisingstudent workers; day-to-day management of student advising and student-related curricular processes; preparation of, and internal controlchecks for, all paperwork related to human resources (personnel, etc.) and budget expenditures (personnel and non-personnel); management ofall paperwork related to visiting artist lecturers and critics (independent contractors; and general bookkeeping for all accounts related tothe School (state and foundation related).Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working and thinking through various tasks, beable to manage competing deadlines, be extremely organized, and be able to rise to the special demands of working with, and supervising,students.
