The Purchase College, Office of Institutional Advancement, is seeking an experienced, ambitious, energetic, and entrepreneurial Director ofDevelopment for the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College. It is anticipated that the Director of Development will have a minimum of 5-7 years ofexperience in building meaningful relationships with constituents that have resulted in closing significant major gifts. The Director willbe a genuine relationship builder, skilled in the process of identifying prospects and donors, while gracefully moving them along thecontinuum of engagement. The Director will care about creating a donor-centered environment, aligned with the direction of the VicePresident of Institutional Advancement and the Director of the Performing Arts Center. Additional qualities include exuding theenergy and credibility that inspire patrons to become more involved; superior interpersonal skills that inspire confidence with colleaguesand donors; the empathy and listening skills that foster relationships and trust; and the ability to infuse humor and congeniality in dailyactions. The Director of Development will report directly to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement in partnership with theDirector of the Performing Arts Center. The Director will supervise one full-time development professional. The Director will be part of anewly forming campus-wide advancement team that includes representation in major gifts, annual fund and alumni relations.SpecificDuties
